Spring Seminar 2025
Everything We Believe In: Spiritual Responses to Moral Distress & Spiritual Resources for
Moral Repair
Tuesday, June 10th from  12:00-1pm ET U.S. in Zoom

The Spirituality & Flourishing group in the Harvard Flourishing Network is proud to host this hour-long webinar on the twin subjects of moral distress and moral repair. Given the significant moral stressors that our medical professionals and spiritual care providers face these days, how can we respond compassionately to their growing moral distress across various practice settings?
In this panel discussion, Dr. Susan R. Hata of Mass General Brigham, Rev. Kelly Murphy Mason of Arlington Street Church, and Aaron Pawelek, LICSW, of the New England Pastoral Institute and ACPE Psychotherapy Commission will explore possible spiritual responses to such moral distress, as well as spiritual resources that might be enlisted in the service of moral repair.
Their discussion provides important follow-up to conversations begun at the 2024 World Congress on Moral Injury, Spirituality, and Healing held at Harvard University, which sought to open up public dialogue around this timely topic. The Springtime Seminar is an annual offering of the Spirituality & Flourishing group and remains free and open to the public.
Contact Spirituality & Flourishing co-chair Kelly Murphy Mason at [email protected] for any additional information. The Spirituality & Flourishing group was convened in 2022 as a multifaith, interspiritual, and cross-disciplinary gathering of professionals committed to making substantive contributions to fuller human flourishing by incorporating the practice wisdom of spiritual approaches and traditions in to their work.
