We are a multi-faith, interspiritual, and cross-disciplinary gathering of individuals who are committed to participating in a teaching-learning community that seeks to make substantive contributions to fuller human flourishing. The Spirituality & Flourishing Interest Group (SFIG) began meeting in 2022 as an extension of the Flourishing Network in the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University.
Some key questions guide our work together: How might we foster flourishing through various spiritual and/or religious traditions, communities, approaches, observances, teachings, and practices? What sorts of interventions and involvements allow us to tap the spiritual and/or religious resources available to us, individually and collectively, and develop further our human capacities for connectedness? On this website, we share our thoughts and resources in the service of fostering fuller human flourishing around the world and across our many varied spiritual traditions. All our SFIG members affirm the special role that spirituality can play in flourishing and invite others to explore its richness and reach. |
